Cottage Core Midsummer Party
I wanted to have an outdoor summer party inspired by the Swedish holiday Midsummer as well as the aesthetic in the movie Midsommer, specifically the dinner table. Cottage core became a big trend too so I was very inspired by that as well. I told the guests to dress in cottage core attire (white or pastel colors) I used my grandmother's blue and white plates and thrifted all the candles, glasses, bowls, and decor. I absolutely loved the way everything blended together and it was exactly what I envisioned for my party.

80s Summer Camp Party
My absolute favorite decade is the 80s so I wanted to somehow incorporate the 80s into a summer party but I wanted to make it unique. I was watching a lot of 80s horror movies during the summer that took place at summer camp so I decided to have an 80s summer camp party with a hint of horror. This party definitely required the most work but it all paid off. I organized summer camp games with two of my friends who I made be camp counselors with me. We had a potato sack race, tug of war, balloon toss, an egg race, and dance flip cup. I designed custom camp shirts for anyone who wanted to buy one. Then for dinner we grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, made s'mores by the fire, and danced to the Stranger Things soundtrack.

Murder Mystery Dinner Party
I am such a fan of whodunnit movies such as Clue and Knives Out, so I wanted to have a murder mystery dinner party. I downloaded a 1920s murder mystery game to play. I assigned each guest a character before the date of the party so they had time to find costumes and get in character. This party was a lot of fun because we got to do a lot of acting throughout the night. Before the murder took place I treated my guests with champagne and a charcuterie board. We had a thanksgiving dinner and got to introduce our characters and tell our life stories to everyone. This was a super fun party because everyone got into character and was very involved in the murder mystery game.

Vampires and Witches Dinner Party
My favorite holiday is Halloween so I get very into it each year. This year I wanted to have a vampires and witches party slightly inspired by The Vampire Diaries, Twilight, Hocus Pocus, and Practical Magic. Each guest could dress up as either a vampire or a witch. I thrifted all my decorations at goodwill, I wanted to find gothic style halloween decorations rather than your typical pumpkin decorations. I wanted to create an elegant but haunted environment. I made all of the appetizers and drinks vampire or witch themed.

Marie Antoinette/Bridgerton Valentine's Day Brunch
For Valentine's Day I wanted to create a party inspired by the tv show Bridgerton as well as the 2006 Marie Antoinette movie. Everyone wore dresses, corsets, gloves, lace, and suits. There was lots of cake, pastries, tea, and flowers. I gave each guest their own written valentine and told everyone to bring a poem to read. I love poetry and I thought it would be fun to incorporate that into the party. This was a fun girly way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
